This is the cable for Siglent’s 2.92 mm instruments. The SSA5000A analysers and the SSG5000A and SSG6000A generators all present a 2.92 mm male RF port, so the cable’s female end goes to the instrument and its male end to the device. The 2.92 mm interface — often called K — is an air-dielectric precision connector built to stay mode-free to 40 GHz, which is why it, rather than SMA, is what these instruments use.

Use Cases
- The SSA5000A and SSG5000A/6000A cable Those instruments have a 2.92 mm male port. The female end of this cable is what mates with it.
- Mates with SMA and 3.5 mm too Mechanically compatible with both — useful, but the joint is then limited to the lesser connector, not 40 GHz.
