Our power supplies are isolated power supplies. So when you connect to the black negative terminal you have connected your DUT to an isolated channel.  Where as if you connect to the green terminal you are connecting your DUT to ground which will no longer have the power supply act as an isolated supply....

DP700 Reaction Time for OVP, OCP and OPP being Exceeded

The DP700 series power supply can receive a trigger to enable the output of the supply. Pin 8 of the RS232 interface on the rear panel is used for trigger input, ...

DP700 transient voltage on power up

Posted on: December 16th, 2020 by Doug Lovell
16/12/2020
The DP700 series power supply will show a transient voltage on the outputs when the power supply is powered up. Typically the transient voltage will show approximately 400mV p-p over a 200us duration. The DP700 power supplies do not have output relays to to  enable output after the power supply has been  turned on and...

Timer operation with the DP700 series power supply

Posted on: December 16th, 2020 by Doug Lovell
16/12/2020
The DP700 series power supply provides a timer function. When the timing output is enabled, the instrument will configure the output voltages and currents based on the preset timer parameters. The edited timer parameters are allowed to be saved to the internal non-volatile memory (NVM), and can be recalled if necessary. ...

DP700 series Power Supply Maximum Trigger Input Voltage

Posted on: December 16th, 2020 by Doug Lovell
16/12/2020
Pin 8 of the RS232 interface on the rear panel is used to receive the external trigger input signal. When it receives a high level signal (≥ 2.1 V, 10 mA), the channel output will be turned on. If 8 volts or greater is applied damage to the power supply I/O circuit can result....

Serial Cable for the DP700 series Power Supply
