Siglent SDS5108X HD 8Ch, 1 GHz, 5 GSa/s, 12 Bit, high resolution oscilloscope
The SDS5108X HD 8Ch high resolution oscilloscope, part of the SDS5000X HD series high resolution Digital Storage Oscilloscopes are available in 4, 6 and 8 channels, bandwidths of 350 MHz, 500 MHz and 1 GHz, have 12-bit ADCs with sample rate up to 5 GSa/s, maximum record length of 2.5 Gpts/ch.
The SDS5000X HD Series employs Siglent’s SPO technology with a maximum waveform capture rate of up to 160,000 wfm/s, 256-level intensity grading display function, plus a colour temperature display mode. It also employs an innovative digital trigger system with high sensitivity and low jitter. The trigger system supports multiple powerful triggering modes, including serial bus triggering. Tools such as History waveform recording, Search and Navigate functions, Mask Test, Bode Plot, and Power Analysis allow for extended waveform records to be captured, stored, and analysed. An impressive array of measurement and math capabilities, as well as serial decoding, are also features of them.
The SDS5000X HD employs a 12.1’’ capacitive touch screen and supports multi-touch gestures, with the addition of a user-friendly UI design, which can greatly improve operational efficiency.
Both the two series support remote web control over LAN. A complete SCPI command set over the standard 1000M LAN connection enables fast data acquisition, speeding automated test applications.

High Resolution
Based on a high-quantization series 12-bit ADC and high-performance front-end circuitry, SDS5000X HD has a low noise floor.
The noise floor is as low as 140 μVrms at 1 GHz.
50Ω and 1MΩ impedances are supported, and each analog path has a bandwidth filter.
High-frequency noise is reduced through low-pass filtering and digital processing.
Three-Phase Electrical Analysis
Using an eight-channel oscilloscope for three-phase power analysis can simultaneously connect all phases of the three-phase power, measure the three-phase voltage and current signals synchronously, obtain the waveform and parameters of each phase of the three-phase power in real time and accurately, directly observe and compare the phase relationship of the three-phase power signals, and ensure the phase balance of the three-phase power. With the help of the fast Fourier transform (FFT) function, the multi-channel oscilloscope can perform harmonic analysis on the three-phase voltage and current signals. The optional three-phase power analysis can test the vector diagram of the three-phase motor, the power quality, and perform efficiency analysis.
Multi-Channel Signal Timing Analysis
Modern electronic systems contain different chips, modules, etc. The signals of different circuit modules may affect each other during initialization and operation. Through power-on timing test, it can be ensured that the signals of each module appear at the correct time to avoid signal conflicts and interference, and ensure the normal operation of the system. For example, in a communication system, improper power-on timing of the transceiver module may cause data transmission errors. With the development of technology, the complexity of circuits continues to increase, and new challenges have been posed to power-on timing testing. SDS5000X HD can capture the power-on process of all relevant signals at one time, saving measurement time, improving work efficiency, and reducing errors introduced by multiple measurements. For complex circuits with more than 8 power rails, measurements can be completed at one time.
