Unleashing Precision for Dynamic Markets

In collaboration with Telonic Instruments, SIGLENT introduces the SDS7000A, a state-of-the-art oscilloscope range designed for dynamic markets such as telecommunications, wireless technologies, and high-speed digital technology. These industries demand expanded functionality to address the escalating requirements for acquiring and analyzing high-frequency, complex signals, as well as the growing needs of modern applications.

Key Features of SDS7000A

  • 12-Bit Vertical Resolution: The SDS7000A offers unparalleled precision with 12-bit vertical resolution, enabling precise imaging of high-frequency signals and fine vertical differentiation.
  • Sampling & Memory: With four analog channels and 16 digital channels, and bandwidths of 3GHz and 4GHz, the SDS7000A meets emerging test requirements. It boasts a maximum sampling rate of 20GSa/s, ensuring the capture of fast signal transitions with high fidelity. The 12-bit ADC minimizes quantization errors, allowing engineers to observe waveform details clearly. The standard acquisition memory depth is 500 Mpts/channel, upgradeable to 1 Gpts/channel, facilitating the capture of signal sequences up to 50 milliseconds at the maximum sampling rate without any gaps.
  • Low Noise Floor and High Capture Rate: With a low noise floor as low as 220μVrms at 4GHz and a waveform capture rate of up to 1 million wfm/s, the SDS7000A accelerates the capture of abnormal events.
  • X86 Processor: Equipped with an upgraded X86 processor, the SDS7000A enhances overall performance, response speed, measurement accuracy, and analysis speed. This processor opens doors for future expansion of analysis functions.
  • Eye/Jitter Analysis: Supporting automatic parameter measurements for jitter and eye characterization, the SDS7000A aids in evaluating system quality through the observation of inter-symbol crosstalk, noise, and bandwidth. Easy setup and automatic measurements expedite debugging and simplify design testing for a distinct time-to-market advantage.
  • Protocol Compliance Analysis: To swiftly identify and resolve critical signal and transmission issues, SIGLENT provides embedded compliance test solutions, evaluating systems against communication standards like USB 2.0, 100base-TX, 1000base-T, 100base-T1, and 1000base-T1. Users can configure test items, and the software controls the oscilloscope to automatically complete tests and provide signal test results (Pass/Fail) after comparison with reference standards.
  • SAP5000D Active Differential Probe: SIGLENT’s highest-performing active differential probe kit, the SAP5000D, offers up to 5 GHz of bandwidth and low noise for detailed signal analysis. Its high input resistance and low input capacitance minimize the load introduced by the measurement system. The SAP5000D active probe utilizes the SAPBus interface, making it suitable for oscilloscopes, including SIGLENT’s SDS5000X, SDS6000A, and SDS7000A series. These probes don’t require an additional external power supply and are automatically recognized by the oscilloscope.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The SDS700A features a 15.6-inch high-definition touchscreen, allowing simultaneous analysis of various signals, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to a reduced development cycle. Additional features such as search and navigate, and history tools make analyzing the entire stored trace an effortless operation.

Telonic Instruments and SIGLENT bring unparalleled precision and cutting-edge technology to the UK with the SDS7000A Series oscilloscopes. This collaboration ensures that professionals in telecommunications, wireless technologies, and high-speed digital applications have the tools they need to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
