Description
TBMDA7 1GHz-3GHz Modulated Wideband Power Amplifier
The Tekbox TBMDA7 modulated wideband driver amplifier is designed to provide a cost-effective signal source for immunity testing of electronic building blocks and products. It operates within the frequency range of 1 GHz to 3 GHz and is intended to be driven by the tracking generator output of spectrum analysers. With a 1dB compression point of 350 mW average and a saturated output power of 500 mW average, it can amplify the output power of a tracking generator to drive Tekbox near-field probes, helping to identify sensitive spots in an electronic circuit. Additionally, it can create electric fields up to 150V/m CW and 80V/m AM when driving the Tekbox TEM Cell TBTC 0, 80V/m CW and 45V/m AM when driving the TBTC1, 40V/m CW and 25V/m AM when driving the TBTC2, or 27V/m CW and 15V/m AM when driving the TBTC3.
Test signals for immunity testing can be continuous wave (CW), amplitude modulated (AM), or phase modulated (PM). The TBMDA7 has built-in modulation capabilities to generate 1 kHz AM or PM signals. In PM mode, it can also generate a 217 Hz signal with a 12.5% duty cycle to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.
