Our in-person EMC courses combine essential theory with live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, practical equipment use and real-world engineering examples. Rather than discussing compliance only in abstract terms, the training explores how emissions and immunity problems appear in real products, how engineers can investigate them and how better design decisions can reduce EMC risk.

The 2-Day EMC Troubleshooting Course is the recommended starting point for engineers who want to diagnose EMC issues and develop useful in-house pre-compliance testing capabilities. Delegates explore cost-effective benchtop setups and practical measurement techniques using equipment such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, LISNs, near-field probes, RF current probes and antennas.

The 2-Day EMC Design Course builds on this knowledge, helping experienced product engineers consider EMC from the beginning of the design process. It covers subjects including PCB layout, grounding, cables, shielding, filters, power electronics and robust circuit design through demonstrations, hands-on labs and case-study discussion.

Both courses are delivered in small groups at the Telonic Instruments EMC Training & Showroom in Wokingham, Berkshire, giving delegates opportunities to ask questions, engage with the equipment and relate the lessons to their own engineering applications.
