The SM40-CP-250, in the SM6K Series, is a 6 kW family of programmable Source Sink DC power supplies designed for high efficiency, stability, and flexibility. Its constant-power output characteristic significantly extends the usable voltage and current range compared to traditional rectangular-output supplies.

Voltage and current are programmable from zero to maximum, enabling controlled sourcing and sinking.<br /> In sink mode, energy is fed back into the AC grid with an efficiency of 92 %. Regeneration reduces heat dissipation and can remove the need for external dissipative loads in many setups. With temperature-controlled fans and low audible noise, the SM6K series is suitable for quiet laboratory use as well as demanding industrial automated test environments.
