Telonic Instruments, a renowned provider of precision electronic instruments, is proud to introduce the SIGLENT SPD4000X Series programmable DC power supplies to the UK market. The SPD4000X Series includes three models, offering a minimum resolution of 1mV/1mA and four independently programmable outputs, with total output power options of 240W, 285W, or 400W.

This series introduces a significant enhancement in power supply technology, featuring one-click series or parallel configurations for CH2 and CH3, allowing for greater voltage or current output. Additionally, the SPD4000X includes a 4-wire remote voltage compensation sense function, capable of compensating up to 0.6V to ensure voltage stability and accuracy at the device under test.

Designed with higher power, improved flexibility, and increased accuracy, along with the addition of a fourth channel, the SPD4000X Series is a powerful tool for device testing. It is particularly suited for applications in new energy, manufacturing, wireless communications, consumer electronics, and laboratory environments.

Key Features and Benefits:

Higher Resolution and Accuracy

The SPD4000X series supports five-digit voltage and current displays with an exceptional setting and readback resolution of 1mV/1mA. Each of the four output channels can be independently controlled or turned on/off simultaneously. The series and parallel functions allow two channels to be combined into one output, significantly increasing power output capabilities. For example, the SPD4306X can output 60V/6A in series, while the SPD4121X can deliver 12V/20A in parallel.

Real-time Waveform Display

Equipped with a 4.3-inch true colour TFT-LCD, the SPD4000X series offers a waveform display for all four channels. This feature allows users to monitor voltage and current waveform run charts, with each channel represented by a distinct colour.

Advanced List Operation

The List function in the SPD4000X series allows users to generate complex test sequences by editing single-step settings for voltage, current, and time. Each sequence can include up to 50 steps, with 8 built-in list sequence files available for quick setup. This is particularly useful for simulating various voltage and current states, such as sudden rises, falls, or interruptions. For more complex waveforms, users can import List sequence files via USB, streamlining the process and improving test efficiency. The List operation has a time accuracy of less than 50 ms and a setting resolution of 1 ms, ensuring precise control even in demanding pulse voltage tests.

Fast Output Response Time

Output response is the instantaneous change of output voltage when the load current changes dynamically. Output response time is the time required for the voltage to return to the set range when the load current suddenly changes. The SPD4000X series achieves fast output response time of < 50us, enabling fast compensation for output voltage changes.

Voltage Compensation Sense Function

The 4-wire sense mode for CH2 and CH3 automatically compensates for any voltage drop across the output lines, ensuring that the voltage at the device under test is accurate and consistent with the power supply’s set voltage. This function can compensate for up to 0.6V, making it highly effective for high-precision or long-cable testing scenarios

Save/Recall Settings Parameters

The SPD4000X series offers robust file management capabilities, allowing users to save various types of files to local or external memory for easy recall. This includes saving output voltage/current values, independent/series/parallel output modes, and even capturing screenshots of dynamic test conditions by long pressing the Save/Recall key.

Powerful Web Control

For enhanced connectivity and control, the SPD4000X series includes USB and LAN communication interfaces as standard, with an optional USB-GPIB converter module available. The embedded Web Server allows users to control and monitor the power supply directly from a web browser, eliminating the need for additional software installations.
